“As Long as Your Legs Last” by Alisson Thiago do Nascimento, is an animation in sequential format – frame by frame. Where it narrates the daily life of the protagonist Alisson, waking up, drinking his coffee and going skateboarding through city.
The culture that surrounds the Skateboarding universe is an open field. Initially in its practice and for its use of the city’s elements, whether for its value as an immaterial object, whether in the relationship of individual and collective competition, these enhance creativity and the identity process, in different areas and languages.
The production of this animation is a reflection of my life, in which, there is already 15 years that I see, consume, practice and produce in the world of Skateboarding. As Long as Your Legs Last uses the fragile universe of art, which consisted of creation of 1032 drawings for a sequential narrative, of everyday life life, presenting some maneuvers that took me years to learn and execute.
In this animation, Skateboard is mine life and I will practice as far as my legs last.
