The Catalan Film Academy has honored Agustí Argelich —director, producer, programmer, and photographer— by naming him an Honorary Member in 2025.
Argelich, also the artistic director of the BCN Sports Film Festival, receives this distinction for his outstanding contributions to the audiovisual field and his tireless efforts in cultural promotion.
The appointment ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Frederic Marès Museum, hosted by film critic Àlex Gorina.

The 16th edition of the BCN Sports Film Festival features a must-attend session for filmmakers, producers, and audiovisual professionals: “How to legally approach the audiovisual creation of a documentary?” A practical activity organised in collaboration with PAC to answer common questions and help you work with legal certainty throughout the entire creative process. Creative decisions… and legal ones too Making a documentary involves many storytelling decisions, but also legal considerations that are important to clarify from the start. This session offers a clear, actionable overview of the main legal aspects of audiovisual production: from developing the project to the use of recorded footage, archive photographs, and pre-existing works, with useful tools to work safely and responsibly. It will also cover the fundamental rights involved in documentary filmmaking—such as the right to honour/reputation, personal and family privacy, and the right to information—along with other common legal issues that arise during the creative process.
