THE CHAMPION’S MURAL

Naples, 2025. A film production company is getting ready for a movie about the murals dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona. The crew begins holding auditions to find one of the young men who will star in the film. This becomes an opportunity for redemption for many of them, a chance to escape a reality often marked by crime. Christian, from the neighbourhood, with an innate talent for football and a deep desire to succeed, shows up for the audition. Overwhelmed by anxiety and the desire to find strength, he wanders beneath the Maradona mural, seeking advice and inspiration. He speaks to him as one would speak to a saint. In a magical scene, Maradona comes to life to speak to Christian. He encourages him, guides him and teaches him not only how to approach the audition but also how to look at life with courage and authenticity.
