Many people ask us: “Why do you play cricket? Girls don’t play cricket!” But when I play, I forget all my worries.” Aleeza, Samaia, Muskan, Anesa, Tasbiha, Simran and a group of about 20 girls break stereotypes day after day with a cricket bat. From 15 to 22 years old, they are part of the only women’s cricket team in Spain. Years ago, their families moved from countries like India or Pakistan to different neighborhoods of Barcelona, ​​​​Badalona or Santa Coloma. But these girls grew up here, speak Catalan and fight to overcome the gap between their two worlds.
