The Official Jury of the BCN Sports Film 2024 meets in Barcelona to choose the winners of this new edition.

The official jury BCN Sports Film 2024 has met to discuss the productions presented at the 14th edition of the festival, which will take place from February 19 to 27, 2024.


The meeting was attended by Francesc Terrón, director of the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica; Agustí Argelich, director of the festival. Accompanying them were four renowned personalities who make up the official jury merging the essence of cinema, sport and culture:


  • Josep Roca: holds a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a diploma in Public Administration Management from ESADE. He has worked as Coordinator of International Relations and Major International Sporting Events at Barcelona City Council and as a technical representative of the World Union of Olympic Cities. He was also part of the organization of the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games as Director of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the Medal Ceremonies and as Delegate Producer of the Official Film. He has also been a film producer at Barcelona Televisió.
  • Marta Figueras: has been an audiovisual producer since 1996, when she worked on her first film, La moños, a project that was nominated for the Premios Goya for best new director and was selected for several international festivals. Some of her productions, such as Barcelona, antes de que el tiempo lo borre, Quinqui Stars and Game Over, have won awards at numerous festivals.
  • Felipe de la Cruz: has written, directed and produced several short films. He has coordinated the «Grans clàssics» film forum in collaboration with the Mollet del Vallès City Council and is a course trainer in short film script and film language workshops. He also directs the Tirant del film radio programme for Ràdio Mollet.
  • Natalia Vía-Dufrense:  is known for her performance in professional boat racing. She has participated in four Olympic Games, among which stands out her participation in the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, the first in which she took part, and where she won the silver medal in the sailing discipline. She is currently working on the America’s Cup in water operations.  
  • Marie Ponsardin:  has combined her passion for film and travel in the organisation, since 2019, of the Festival Quais du départ. Since late 2019, she has been living in Barcelona, where she promotes adapted physical activity as a means of preventing weakness and disability and encourages a healthy lifestyle through practising sport outdoors.  


This meeting has served as the stage for the deliberation of the audiovisual productions that will compete for the eight prestigious awards. The winners will be revealed during the closing ceremony, scheduled for Saturday, February 24 at the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch.

  • Best Adventure production – Álvaro Bultó
  • Best Catalan production
  • Sport and Society Award
  • Best Documentary
  • Best fiction film
  • City of Barcelona Amphora for Best Film
  • Special Jury Award
